On December 30, 2014, around 6:30PM, I visited Red Robin (RR) in Cranberry Township, PA for dinner with my girlfriend, my best friend, and my best friend's girlfriend. Although my best friend and I are always striving to impress our lady-friends, this was a rather impromptu dinner date so we decided to stop in without calling ahead to reserve a table. As it turned out, this was actually a pretty big mistake on our part. Upon entering the restaurant we observed a near-full dining area, four families standing in the waiting area, and no greeter or hostess in sight. Though I thought this was quite a sizeable crowd for a Tuesday night, I chalked it up to "dinnertime during the holiday season" and accepted my place in line. After going five minutes without seeing any RR employees, however, I began asking the families around me if they had already gotten their names on the waiting list. I was shocked when all but one told me that they had been waiting over 15 minutes without a hostess coming to take their names. I allowed another five minutes to pass with customers lining up behind me before I decided to seek out anyone wearing a RR polo shirt. I took no more than three steps past the hostess podium when a woman in such a polo spotted me and asked if I needed help. After explaining to her the situation in the waiting area she quickly motioned to a woman in a similar shirt, and finally names began filling up the waiting list. I do understand that a short-staffed restaurant can get swamped quickly, so I sympathize with the hostess who was filling multiple roles; however, it is a situation like this that usually sends me on my way to the restaurant next door. Due to this experience, I would definitely recommend calling in a dinner reservation ahead of time to save yourself some time and frustration. Having done most of our waiting just to get a name on the list, it was then only a few minutes before our table was ready and my name was called. As we were led to our table - located in the very back of the restaurant - my girlfriend pointed out three tables along the way that were covered in used plates, silverware, and napkins. Throughout our meal (which took a little over an hour from being seated to receiving the check), I kept an eye on these tables, and once again I was shocked by what I saw. Though one table was cleaned up shortly after we were seated, the second was left untouched until halfway through our meal, and the third was still covered as we walked back out. Not only were the dirty tables unappetizing to look at during dinner, but it also occurred to me that they were taking up a significant amount of space that could and should have been filled by hungry, waiting customers. Since this experience was unlike any of my previous visits to this restaurant, I once again have to attribute the issues to severe understaffing. As for the more personal customer service my table received from our waiter, unfortunately it too was less than satisfactory. Our waiter, who asked us to call him MacGyver, was a rather overbearing older gentleman who gave off a strong vibe of a former entertainer. Although he was very talkative and quite knowledgeable of the menu items, it was blatantly obvious to me that he was fishing for a large tip from the beginning. From attempting upsells and cross-sells to even trying to shame us into spending more, MacGyver was playing all of the cards you'd expect from a slimy used car salesman. To quote MacGyver (M) on a few of his tactics: M-"If you take a look at your drink menu you'll see we have Coke, Diet Coke, Sierra Mist.... and our new Freckled Strawberry Lemonade. Note: I didn't say water. So what will it be?" Friend-"Can I just have one of those waters you don't have?" M-"Fine. But it'll cost you extra" M-"So since you guys ordered those waters I'm guessing you'll pony up for dessert?" Friend-"No, I think we're good for tonight. Thanks though" M-"Come on, not even for your girl?" I understand the game of "sales" and I think MacGyver would be one heck of a used car salesman; however, I do not believe these tactics are appropriate for use in a restaurant setting. Being pressured and at times shamed into spending more than I would like to on dinner is certainly not going to make me want to tip you more. I must admit, I did tip much higher than I normally would on a good night (it was the holidays), but the tip I left did not properly reflect my overall dissatisfaction with RR's customer service. Although RR exhibited some redeeming quality in its food, which was just as delicious on this particular night as it has been on all of my other visits, the lacking customer service was impossible to ignore, thus ruining the entire dinner. I will likely return to Red Robin for lunch soon, as I quite enjoy the burgers, bottomless fries, and Americana atmosphere; however, based on this recent experience on a "busy" night, it is highly unlikely I will patronize this restaurant for dinner again.

Good burgers, good fries. What more can you ask for? Do yourself a favor and go early, like around 4 PM for dinner. This place gets busy so beat the crowd and don't go there on the weekend.

Was surprised to see all the other honest reviews about the way this place went downhill quick! I AM IN FULL 100% agreement! For starters - a younger male bartender could not even be bothered to stir or shake the drinks, down to a chocolate milk he made, for the servers to pick up! The servers seemed exasperated; but when one pointed it out to him he just snickered and went on with a bad attitude. He vocally complained within earshot of all the bar patrons about management and his schedule to a younger female server/bus person. Also voiced complaints that nothing he'd wanted changed, had been changed since the remodel of the place. He left messes on the counter and mixers all behind the bar. This bartender was NOT the usual seasoned & experienced male bartender who serves behind the bar that we used to enjoy. The seasoned female bartender he worked alongside patiently cleaned after him when she could. Now the food...clam chowder came twice cold. Sent back twice, took a long time to get, so third time so hungry I ate it "warmed". The Kentucky Bourbon Chicken Wrap - I had asked for no tortilla strips in it. Came twice with them in it - second time I came across random ones which shows me they are premixed with the wrap lettuce and had to be "picked out". The chicken in this one lacked any bbq sauce as the first one had and seemed limp and almost "rinsed"....really strange! Again I ate as I was too hungry to wait another long time for a third replacement. The seasoned bartender seemed very embarrassed regarding food quality and lacking care in prep. She was at least apologetic. Now I am not OCD, but this really got me...I will not be caught going here again if this one thing is not IMMEDIATELY changed!!! In this day and age of crazy and strange viruses, colds and crud that is all becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotics, WHY ON EARTH would the servers all take away their drinks from the bar by all sticking their hands on a container of completely UNWRAPPED full size straws and placing them in all the drinks???? This was a central common container that every servers hands touched bare straws! Almost every restaurant and bar serves a drink with a wrapped straw on the side OR the tip held by their fingers has a small bit of wrapper left on it so that the patron can remove it where it is clean for their mouth to use the straw!!! Unwrapped straws is an unsanitary practice period!!! Clean up your act Cranberry Red Robin in every aspect!!! Cranberry diners have plenty of options so the Robin would do good to refeather it's nest QUICK!

Red robin completely messed up our to go order. My husband was given a raw burger and my son ordered fruit as a side that I wouldn't let my dog eat. I took a picture of the mushy fruit just so you understand what I'm talking about.

I was looking forward to having a tasty burger, but was disappointed with the quality of the meat. The service was excellent and the unlimited side salad was nice, but I have had much better burgers. Can't say that I will go back for a burger.

Can't go wrong with a burger and milkshake, right? Well.... I do like their burgers here and the menu has a good variety too if you are not a beef eater, there are chicken dishes and salads, etc. The burgers and bottomless fries have been the consistent thing about this chain. My go to are the sauteed 'shroom burger and the royal red robin. As far as milkshakes go, they are ok, but there are better ones in the cranberry area. They have a pretty good list of beers and cocktails as well. The decor is fun with sporty and all american memorabilia. The service is not as consistent as the food. The servers we've had were nice but the service can be slow at times even if the place is not crowded. It would also be nice to have napkins at the table instead of upon request as it is a burger joint, and I would assume I'm not the only sloppy burger eater around. The last time we were here prior to today's visit, there was no condiments on the table either. Overall though, I would go back if I'm craving their burger.

I'm fed up with this place! Poor experiences every time I go back. Hoping that things will change and it will get better. Not the case. When you go there, you're taking a gamble. Will my waiter or waitress be awful again? Will the cooks screw up my order again? Will it take well over 30 minutes to get my food again? You never know! FYI, don't let your kids touch the computer pad on the table! They charge you $1.99 entertainment fee to use it.

There's not a lot to say: This is a Red Robin burger joint, which is a large chain. The food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is kind of... medium. But you get what you expect, which is a pretty good time.

I have to say I am not one to give a 5 star review to a chain however me and my hubby went last night as he was hungry for one of their burgers. We do love their burgers and other sandwiches and who doesn't like the bottomless fries. They were very busy but we were seated right away and our waiter greeted us very quickly. The hubby ordered a regular burger which he thought was done to perfection! I ordered the California chicken burger as I have done in the past. I do not know what happened but the guacamole was super spicy. It was so spicy it burned my lips. I took one bite and could not finish. I asked the waiter for a regular cheeseburger. And it was brought out quickly. We noted we would pay for the additional burger. However they took my entire meal off the check. We had an awesome waiter and I very much like the fact that they want to keep their guests coming back as I was not happy with the product , by my own tastes and they still took it off the bill. Awesome!

One star for the terrible service and of course five stars for Red Robin's amazing burgers.

HAIR IN MY FOOD!!! Just left here after returning a to go order. I ordered a turkey burger with lettuce, tomato and fries. I got in my truck, ate about 2/3 of the burger and realized there was a huge long dark hair in it. It appeared to be in the topping not inside the burger. We turned around, went back and my husband took the food back inside. Where he saw the cooks, both with long beards. Neither of the 2 cooking were wearing hair or beard nets! This is unacceptable in my opinion. I will never eat here again. I would advise anyone who does to check the kitchen staff for proper hair covers before ordering, That is unless you like hair in your food.

I go to Red Robin for two things...cheese sticks and milkshakes. Why I continue to order other things when I visit is the real mystery. The sandwiches are filthy...and trust me, I like filthy foods...and I'm fully aware when walking through the doors that my expectations shouldn't be any higher, but Red Robin serves up an average level of flavor with a lot of the greasy nastiness. Their concept of throwing everything imaginable on a sandwich just creates a single tone of grease flavor in your mouth. That's actually why I skip the mayo on my burgers. You won't miss the flavor, as it's masked by the other toppings, but you will notice when you have mayo on your burger...because there's so much, you'll need an extra stack of napkins for cleanup. Now, Red Robin does have some options that are healthier (bruschetta chicken, etc.), and with a little visit to the Red Robin website or their mobile meal builder app, you can figure out a relatively healthy meal, but nothing heavy ever really tasted good enough to be worth the post-meal stomach ache, and all of the lighter fare was never that pleasing, either. Except the milkshakes and cheese sticks, that is! The cheese sticks aren't necessarily anything mind-blowing, but something about them makes them my favorite. Oh, and what gluttonous American doesn't love bottomless fries!!! Add their ranch dressing for dipping and I'm always tempted to get extra fries (I've only gone down that road once before, though). Regardless, this particular location is perfectly fine. I typically sit at the bar or in the bar area, as I don't want to be surrounded by tons of screaming kids while I'm sipping my milkshake with the enjoyment of my 5-year-old self. The bartenders that I've encountered have always been attentive and nice, and the food comes out fast. I've read reviews about the consistency of the quality of the food, but I don't hold that against this particular location. From my experiences at numerous Red Robins over the years, I'd say this is simply a chain-wide issue. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the service in the main dining area.

I have to say, I am just not impressed with Red Robin, and especially not this location after our experience last week. They were not busy, but the bartender was not attentive at all. I asked for a water multiple times and never got it. I stopped asking. Their food was mediocre at best, with the exception of the cheese sticks (but lets face it, Cheese sticks is not a reasonable entree option). If you are in the mood for a quick good meal up in the Cranberry area, there are plenty of other options that may satisfy your appetite more.

I ate here for dinner last night with my girlfriend. This restaurant is decorated like most of the Red Robins with lots of old movie posters on the wall and big scullpture of the Red Robin in the dining room. It also had an ample number of TV's, including one built into the floor whenever you walk in, which let diners see a TV from pretty much every seat. For dinner I decided to order the Burning Love burger while my girlfriend ordered the Oktoberfest burger. The wait in between our order and the delivery of our food seemed to take an incredibly long time but could probably be explained by the large party that was sitting right next to us. My burger consisted of the burger topped with salsa, Pepper-Jack cheese and fried jalapenos on a cayenne dusted bun and came with a side of bottomless fries. The burger itself and most of its components were warm and not hot which was fine but the fried jalapenos were sadly cold. My fries were also significantly colder than my girlfriends. Overall the taste of the burger was pretty good with all of the spicy components giving it a nice kick and the burger itself being juicy. The fries were also good and I ended up having two more baskets when all was said and done. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here in the future. While not what I would consider a top burger place, they have plenty of different options and seem to be fairly consistent with how they cook them.

This food and service here is never consistent but my son loves over-priced chicken fingers and balloons. My go-to order: Bonzai burger, sub-turkey burger, sub jalapeño bun and sweet potato fries. Red Robin is a good place for kids but you can go down the street to the Springfield Grille for a comparable burger that is a much better value.

Something has changed with Red Robin. I have eaten here many times and always order the Banzai Burger. It has been the best, however, the last three times I have been disappointed. The cook is cutting corners. Instead of grilling the Pineapple slice, they put it on the burger straight out of the can. Instead of dipping the patty in teriyaki marinade and grilling the burger, it appears that they squirt it on the burger when it is done, like ketchup. They did not grill the buns. The end result was a mushy gooey burger an 80 year old could gum but not worth the $10. Not a gourmet burger. Grill the pineapple so the juice cooks off a bit, marinade the patty in teriyaki, and toast the buns. It's sad (meaning I eat way too many of these) when I can cook them better.

Got the Burnin' Love burger. It was good. I had broccoli as my side. It had no butter on it for people who want a healthy side option. They have different types of buns too. We sat on the patio. It was good. I'd be back.

I am always a fan of going to a Red Robin. I've never had an issue with having to return food or had a rude waiter. The only complaint is that they seem stingy on their bottomless fries. They never seem to come around when you want more, and when they do you're already done with your meal. We went to this location with family that had never been to a Red Robin before. They seemed to enjoy the experience and enjoyed their food, though only one of us got a burger. The rest got wraps, chicken or fish sandwiches which were all good, though it looks like our buns had been crushed under something. I'd come to this location again if in the area. I know what to expect when I come to a Red Robin and am not expting it to be a high class restaurant, but rather a place to go for a good quick meal and maybe catch a game on the tv.

Why can't this place get it right? Tonight was my last visit to Red Robins, because every time I go there something happens. Whether its flat beer, under-cooked burgers, soupy Mac and cheese or my favorite, the hostess sitting me and my kids and not bringing kids meals, this restaurant just doesn't have their act together. Not sure why they continue to attract patrons. They lost this one though.

I have visited this location twice in the past two weeks. On my first visit, a little over a week ago, i was traveling by myself so I sat at the bar. The bartender, Cody, was very friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. We talked about baseball since I said that I would be returning to Pittsburgh this week for a couple of Braves games. I ordered the jalapeno coins as an appetizer and they were amazing as usual. For my entree I ordered the Chophouse burger which was a first for me. The burger had a great, different taste with a hint of horseradish flavor on the sauteed mushrooms and the burger was cooked perfectly. Yesterday I ate at this restaurant again, this time with a friend. Our waitress was friendly enough although not quite as welcoming as Cody was on my previous visit. For starters we ordered the pick two appetizer and selected the fried mushrooms and jalapeno coins. the fried mushrooms were OK although the breading didn't adhere too well and fell off when you dipped them in sauce. the jalapeno coins were awesome. My friend ordered the Oktoberfest Burger and it looked awesome and he said the flavor was awesome. I ordered the A.1 Peppercorn burger (which I have had before) and it was incredible and perfectly cooked. You can't go wrong when you combine bacon, A.1 sauce, peppercorns, onion straws and cheese! I have returned to this location several times and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good burger and a good experience!
The place doesn't have stellar reviews, but for being one step above fast food, I think the burgers are great for what you pay for. Maybe I came at just the right time, but the food came out fast, hot, cooked perfectly, and it was better than I thought a place like this could be. Three stars - you get what you pay for.

I've heard plenty of good reviews about their burgers and what not. And my burger and my boyfriends were good. When we walked in to the "All american burger joint", last quote explains it all. We were quoted 10-15 minutes, and they weren't kidding I'd say less then ten minutes, and they had a nice flow of guests coming and going. We were seated and our server was very polite, we received our drinks in a good amount of time. I ordered the strawberry basil vojito, and my boyfriend ordered a beer. Beer's beer unless its flat. My strawberry basil vojito wasn't to shabby either, but I've had better. We ordered the stack of onion rings, and let me tell you. Their fry cook knows how to fry those onions rings, because boyyyy, those were some damn good onion rings. Ranch and a spicy dip (which was a spicy rub and ranch mixed; can't fool this gal). We move into our next course, I received the Blue Ribbon Burger (well done) and my boyfriend received the Whiskey BBQ Burger(with some pink as they put it). They were both great, I think they over indulged in the spicy sauce on my burger, I would have liked to taste more of the blue cheese but it was still a good burger. Now for his, I've had this type of burger before, but for a company like Red Robin it fits. As for my mac and cheese, here comes the picky out of this culinary girl. I like my cheese to be melted all the way through, placed in that good ol' bechamel sauce, and melted all the way through. Get how I like it, good?! There mac and cheese needed a little sauce and was none the less grainy from the cheese that I felt was just tossed in. I'd return to Red Robin, but I won't order the mac and cheese, just not my style.

I really like this burger joint. Every time we go in, we get good service and awesome gourmet hamburgers. My favorite is the Blue Ribbon Burger. It's super juicy with tangy steak sauce and topped with crumbled Bleu cheese, onion straws, lettuce, tomatoes and yummy Chipotle mayo on an onion bun. Yummy yum yum. My friend likes The Whiskey River BBQ Sauce Burger. It's basted with their signature BBQ Sauce, cheddar cheese, onion straws, lettuce, tomatoes & mayo. All burgers come with an endless supply of hot and yummy steak fries. Just keep eating 'em. They keep bringing 'em, they are fresh. Be sure to sign up for their birthday club. We will send you a coupon for a free gourmet burger of your choice. Really nice bonus.

I really enjoy going to this Red Robin branch with my friends. The atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly, and they serve the same great Red Robin food. I must add that I have recently started an all vegan diet. Having never had a veggie burger bofore, I found their Wiskey River bbq Veggie Burger to be quite satisfying!

Red Robin is an ok stop, but not on the top of my list when I'm craving a burger. The portions are generous and they have some good options. Their burgers come with bottomless steak fries. Personally I don't care for them, but to each his own. They did have some good sweet potato fries last time we stopped in and we were able to sub those out in place of the regular ones. The overall atmosphere tends to be a bit noisy. It's a good place to stop with family if you have kids, but when you want a real burger there are better options.

Awesome!

(2)Steve A.
(1)Michael B.
I have been to a few different Red Robins lately and this one has been the best! Great food and good service!
(5)Brian C.
Got the Burnin' Love burger. It was good. I had broccoli as my side. It had no butter on it for people who want a healthy side option. They have different types of buns too. We sat on the patio. It was good. I'd be back.
(4)Erik B.

I've eaten here several times. That was enough. It's a shame when a burger joint makes better salads than they do burgers and don't even get me started about the inept service. A little tip for the help, don't bring the entrée before the salad unless you want a little tip!

Love me some red robin! Huge delicious burgers and the chicken burgers are great too. Unlimited fries are pretty delicious too, especially with their seasoning salt.

(4)Zach G.

I have been to a few different Red Robins lately and this one has been the best! Great food and good service!

(3)M S.

(2)David S.
